The finest example of this would be fan favourite ‘As We Are Now’. While some of the tracks on this debut sound very similar in range and style, you have to hand it to Burrows Young Blood is a polished collection of tracks – perhaps almost too polished when listening to the album versions of previous EP tracks. Opener ‘Letting Go’ kicks off proceedings in fine form, and sets the pace for the rest of the LP, signalling to listeners that they’re in for a treat. Young Blood features many songs already well-known to fans of Saint Raymond, and a few listens really certifies that those releases were the right choices to showcase this young musician’s talent. Preceding this release throughout the last year and a half with several singles and EPs, this Nottingham-born artist has started to make waves, his blend of acoustic guitar and anthemic choruses making him a festival favourite. With total fate In what I'll find.It has been a long time coming but finally this summer, Callum Burrows AKA Saint Raymond has released his debut album Young Blood. It could be mine to keep, It's only out of sight, You call it what you want I know that it's high time To walk the open road Under a dark grey sky. You know it's fine I've got all day, Maybe there isn't a right way, Gotta believe that I won't stray, I don't wanna play these games, All I know is I don't ever want To tame this wild heart From beating for another. It's just the fool I am to look the other way, It seems I'm lost again, It seems I've lost my way Because I'm searching for something I hope in my heart I will find, And though it's testing my patience Away I'll be biding my time. If it was mine to give D'you think I'd give it up? You call it what you want, I know it's not enough.
